Richard Borson, D.D.S.
My name is Dr. Richard Borson. I am a 2nd generation dentist and have served the Oakland County community for over 35 years after receiving my D.D.S. degree in 1980 from the University of Detroit. After graduation I taught at the University in the restorative dental department helping dental students develop clinical skills. I am a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
I have been happily married for 39 years and have 4 grown up children [3 are triplets]. I have a beautiful 14 month old granddaughter who I get to see frequently. I live in Commerce Township and love to spend time outdoors bike riding, swimming, golfing, tennis, kayaking and doing yard work. I love playing guitar every day, I find it very relaxing. I also donate time to feeding the homeless in Detroit through an Organization called Heart to Heart.
My biggest personal achievement is surviving having 4 children under the age of 3 and being happily married for 39 years to my wife, Carol.
I am a big believer in listening to my patients, validating their concerns and educating them before making any recommendation to any dental treatment. My goal is help my patients get healthy and remain healthy for a lifetime. I am very pleased to join Dr. Bruce Smoler, Dr. Jacqueline Zoma and the enthusiastic Smoler Smiles team. Our goal is to provide excellent dental care for the community.
